L´Ametlla de Mar
We visited L'Ametlla de Mar twice. First time while visiting Parc Natural del Delta de l'Ebre (eng. Ebro Delta Natural Park) which is just behind the corner. Second time was when we decided to get a little fishing boat and the one we liked was waiting for us at the harbor of L'Ametlla.
L'Ametlla de Mar is an authentic fishing village. Its coast stretches for 20 kilometers, offering a range of beautiful beaches and coves with clear blue waters. Sandy beaches on the Northern side, more wild and rocky ones in the South. There is also a path named GR92 that runs along the entire coastline, making it a great way to explore all the coves and beaches, 30 in total.
A short drive south of the town center, we find Platja de l'Estany (eng. Estany beach). It is located next to an old port and we would recommend taking a walk in the area. This charming beach has a few lovely restaurants as well. You might even get the chance to enjoy live music at one of them.
